The Committee, on page 26 of their Report, estimate

the capital cost of providing a University of the standard which they propose to be about £1,000,000. This figure is

made up as follows:

Repair of Buildings and replacement

or equipment

New buildings

Endowment of basic chairs

If the endowment or chairs is ignored the non-recurrent

expenditure would be reduced to £716,000. But the recurrent

expenditure on the seven basic chairs would be increased by

$10,500.
